The Rotary Sight Saver is the name given to a special initiative by the Rotary Club s’Hertogenbosch-Oost in the Netherlands, RI District 1550, The Netherlands, Heijman NV -The Netherlands, Cordaid – The Netherlands, Rotary Club Nantwich, and U.K.  Rotary Club Nagpur East and RI District 3030 The Suraj Eye Institute came up through the initiative of Rotary Clubs’ Hertogenbosch-Oost.  Since then they have continued to support the many activities of the Suraj Eye Institute and helped it grow, enhance the quality of eye care provided and enabled it to reach out to an increasing number of the rural poor and the Children.  The Suraj Eye Institute is the proud recipient of two matching grant projects. Through Rotary Matching Grant No. 0423427 a new operating room was set up. The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International gave support for this endeavor, which has enabled better technology, and increased clinical services and surgical output.
